Well I'm doin a little flashback friday of my own today! Seeing as it was Mia's 3rd birthday on Tuesday I thought I would post a couple of pics of her as a newborn! The one in the pink stripey top is of her at 2 weeks old, and the other one is of her about 20 minutes old! I love this pic sooooooooooo much, just looking at her baby photos makes me want another one pretty badly! We will see about that in the next few months.............

Some pics from yesterday! Mia was sitting on the dining table as you do, playing with her new play-do she got for her birthday! needless to say there was playdo all over the place but she had fun... except for trying to eat it! The one of Mia is in her new Bathers that her Nanna and Poppy bought her inDarwin on holidays a couple of weeks ago! She thought it was her ballerina dress! It was 31 degrees here yesterday so I thought she might have fun in the backyard with her outdoor play-stuff that you can hook hose up to. There was a lot of squeeling and carrying on but no actual get wet! But again, fun was had!

A Lo from last night, did a couple of wedding ones
too but they are so simple and plain not sure if I will post them! Maybe later! These are all the chicks I hang out with here! They keep me sane, except Kylie & I are the only ones with kids but the friends without kids, love our kids, so we are lucky that way!


Finally here is my radish seeds making thier emergence.... Dad wanted us to plant them because they pop up quickly and maybe Mia could appreciate more how things grow!!!

Hiya! Anyone miss me???? Feels like I haven't been 'putering much lately! It's been flat out around here......

Had my parents here for nearly 5 days, and lots of jobs have been happening around my house... We planted a heap of seedlings and a few seeds too. Now we have snow peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, mingon lettuces, radishes, red capsicums as well as all my herbs that are already powering along.... Will be kinda satisfying to watch them all grow...

hamburger night here Sat night after all the planting going on, they were so yummy! Our friends C & S came for a visit and ended staying for tea which was great as we hadn't had a meal with them for AGES.........

Mia's 3rd birthday yesterday, she ahd a ball, little party with 3 of her friends and a few champers for me... another year full of milestones... We gave her a bike and other thing too, she's into Dora big time... You can see from her photo with her cake that she is sooooo happy, we were all singing happy birthday to her at this stage & it was almost like she couldn't believe we were singing it to her.... SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SMILE... she really is shining....

And as for scrapbooking I am so having withdrawals...haven't done any in over a week, and I'm hating it!!! SO tonight my DH better not pester me and just let me SCRAP!!!!!!! I have mini-layouts to finish and just want to play with new goodies I bought from two on-line stores, haven't even hardly looked at my purchases, finally got some Prima Sprites and just want to put them everywhere I really love the look of them! Well it's off for a coffee and a tidy -up around here I have been sooooooooooo lazy today!

OH MUM!!!!

I was trying to take some photos of Mia yesteray morning coz she looked so cute, all ready for Pre-Kindy but she was having none of it! She was down-right telling me 'Mum, don't take photos of me'. It IS getting harder and harder to take photos of her, she just doesn't like it! I guess after 3 full-on years of having a camera in her face, she might be getting just a tad sick of it! But persist, I will!!!!

My parents are coming for another visit today as it's Mia's 3rd birthday on Tuesday! We have her a new bike and a helmet, a DORA clock and money box in one, and asst little other things! When we went back to the 'hometown' a few weeks ago, we bought back a few presents from family for her, I can't wait to see what's inside them! I'm sure I will post a heap of pics of her day!

Making mini-chicken pies for tea so had better go and see how the brew is going....

Am planning to update my list of blogs that I visit, because in reality, I lurk on heaps of them, I have a HUGE list of Favourites and will be adding them to my list soon!!!

bla bla bla

Mia asleep on the lounge! She WILL NOT have a sleep during the day (according to her) and then falls asleep willy nilly all over the place! She was really tired on Saturday, we had a full on day. And a late night the night before! Had Garage Sale and Op Shopping to do! The op shop isn't as good as the ones in the city but it's pretty good for an outback one! Up here you make do with what you have coz there is a big drive ahead of you if you want to get to civilization!






Few LO's I did yesterday, I picked out a few older phots and scrapped em!
Mia sitting on Father Christmas knee, she was 3 and a half months old and couldn't give a rats about it all but being the Mum that I am, couldn't wait to puther on Santa's knee for a couple of snaps..........


















When Mia was 2 we gave her a 6v ride on thingy! She loved it and if you can see her face in this pic, she looks VERY smug! She couldn't really steer that well to start with and we had to keep rescuing her after she had ridden into the couch, walls, tables, doors.........
















This one is of Mia when she was a little tacker.... She was so cute, you don't realise how small they really are until you look back on pics and realise, she was a cute little chubby thing! Now she is tall and growing out of clothes pretty fast..... I love this pic, but the LO I'm not so sure about, maybe a bit more paint around the other edges, what do you rekon? If you have the time, let me know!!!


Mia's 3rd birthday next week so off to write some invites for a few friends to come and run amok in the back yard!! Maybe ring a rosey or something like that too!!!

Freaky Friday!!!!

Ok Jodie had a pic on her blog of when she was 9 mnths old.... Here is a photo of my childhood! It is on a beach near Coffin Bay on Eyre Peninsula, Sourh Australia.... if anyone has heard of Coffin Bay let me know!!! I was about 6 or so I suppose,not really sure! But around that time, has to be early 80's. the tall guy with the stripes on is my bro, the spunky chick with the pink shorts is cuz Sue and the little fella with the blue shorts on is Sue's bro, Brad! WOW, such a long time ago!

And here is Mia at Playgroup this morning! I took 200 pics of her, bout 20 were pretty good, but that is the way it goes hey!!!!

I'm feeling VERY grumpy this afty, I think it has something to do with the 5:30 start this morning....... if only I could have a power nap of about 15 mins, I rekon that would fix me up! Mmmmmm want my bed!!!! xxxx

IT'S FRIDAY!!!

Starting off with a cute pic of Mia Moo asleep on Tuesday night! No flash, changed my ISO to 1600 and here's the result! At the moment I'm feeling like I really want to improve my photos, I have the gear to take good ones, now I just have to play with my camera and play some more!!! I have always loved photos, have 2 film SLR's but just love my digi!! Have had it for two years so I rekon it's time to improve those skills!!!

SCRAPPIN STASH!!!!!!!!!!!!! An on-line store I used to visit is in the process of closing down (boohoo) BUT they have had a massive sale 50-60% off everything, so I snapped up my quota of supplies...... Felt a bit like Christmas when I opened the box, so many papers, flowers chippy, alphas..... WOOHOO!! But no scappin for me until I get my photos.... I ordered some on-line! Found 7x5 for $1.15 and printed on Fuji paper, so hopefully they look good coz I only ordered 80 of them! I'm really into that size at the mo, and the local photo shop charge something like $8 a print and I WILL NOT pay that much for that size seeing as I used to work in a Kodak shop and know how much they are at a wholesale price... Yep call me tight or whatever BUT I can't wait until they rok up on my doorstep sometime next week!!! I think that on-line photo shop is gonna see a fair bit of me from now on......

here is my tiny little space that I keep my scrap gear in, somethings gotta give.... I NEED MORE SPACE!!! I will work it out!! The spare room is looking good, cept that when I get pregnant again that room is for the baby ( the one that doesn't even exist at the moment, and I"m already thinking about where this baby will fit!) Yep I'm strange!!!

Finally here is Miss Dag Mia, she put my shoes on the other day and was walking around in them tripping over all over the place! She thought she was great and I guess that's what matters!!

Playgroup today, can't wait to get Mia out of the house already.... she's been awake since 5:30, and I've not been a happy Mum...... Anyway, have a great weekend...... I hope to!!!

well ended up doing one of the challenges at LSBS over the weekend, and I'm pretty happy with the result! I've made an ideas book to put all of my ideas for scrapping in it instead of pieces of paper that in the end get lost and don't help me at all!!! I'm going to have it full of different things, my list of ideas for my BOM, a page for monthly challenges, Maybe with a little envelope to keep the info in, and any random ideas for pages!

On the weekend, the rest of our tree came down! I would have loved for it to stay but it was out of control anyway, and we want to put a shed where it was! I talked about planting another tree but Hubby says 'NO MORE TREES' Bummer! Anyway the tree is down, now we just have to clean up the yard!! AAAARRRGGGHH!!!!

Feeling a bit funky so am in orange today!!! Something different! Few pics today, coupla layouts that I've done during the week, love the Bella one but the other one with our nephew and Mia, maybe needs a bit more, maybe I'll get back to that one!!!

Today our friend came around with her baby Ryan and I was going to try and take some pics of him but Mia was totally besotted by him and kept getting in my way!!! I was getting a bit poory with her, but can't blame her, I was totally into babies when I was a kid, still am!!! And then Ryan was getting a bit pooey with my camera, not sure that he likes it, last time I took some pics of him he had a little cry too! It would look pretty scary by the time I have the flash on it aswell!!

Cyber crop at Littlescrapbook Shop this weekend....... The theme is travel, lord knows I have a few holidays to scrap but am feeling a bit funky (my word for crappy & all over the place) so don't even know if I can be bothered! Would be a good challenge for me but have literally 1000's of photos to pic from so who knows...........

My Mum and Dad are coming for a visit tommorow, I am excited about that! All I do while they are here is cook, and they do the rest.... SPOIL ME!!!! Thanks alot special people! I LOVE EM!!!

They have just been on a holiday to Darwin for a week and my Dad has taken HEAPS of pics... He is a non-practising pro photographer if you get what I mean but since he has bought his new Nikon SLR set-up, you can't stop him. He's busy taking photos all over the show! He's been able to buy the whole set-up, camera, lenses and dedicated flash so he is having heaps of fun! They are at Mandorah today (who knows where that is?... let me know if you do) and it is very picturesque there! I loved it when we were there in March!! So they fly into Adelaide at about 6am then a little rest and then a 6 hour drive to get to us tommorow night! Will be chucking a leg o' lamb in the weber for them to eat when they arrive...

Oh, the pictures of the white flowers are actually WHITE Sturt Desert Peas if anyone is familiar with the EMBLEM of S.A. My friend DANNI took me out to a spot on Wednesday that has heaps of the red desert peas but there was white ones and red and white ones too!! Pretty pretty IYKWIM!!!!

Ok, well might just go make some sausage rolls while I thnk about this CYBER CROP! Will probably do it, it is just what I need... a little kick up my bum to get me enthused again!!!

Just discover Mia asleep on the floor which is not what is needed at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, better go and wake her up.... she'll be pooey at me for sure!!!!

I'm back!!!!!

Have been away for a few days, am glad to be home but had a great weekend! The 40th wedding anniversary was celebrated ALL weekend! These pics are of Mia and our nephew, Cody, they always have a ball together, even though they don't see alot of each other! Can't wait to scrap them!!!!

Mia busted being in her baby's stoller, she only just fits.... Sorry bout the picks being wrong way round, couldn't be bothered to correct it.... She's too cute though, hey!!!

Well not much to report around here.... been wanting to scrap for a few nights, the mind is willing but the body just wants to sit on my recliner... so that's what's been happening. Even printed out a HEAP of pics to scrap last night but didn't have the motivation.... anyone know where they get motivation from? Let me know if there is a solution that I don't know about!!!

Anyway... off to the hometown this weekend for my In-Laws 40th Wedding Anniversary. Should be a good weekend, I'm only going to catch up with one girlfriend while I'm there, instead of running around trying to see 10 of my friends in 4 days.... two days driving and two days there, impossible, so have relieved myself of any pressure to see anyone cept for my friend is soooo due to have her bub, and she lives across the road from hubby's parents so it's TOO EASY to go see her!!! Just gotta finish packing, got Mias done, just me and hubby to go, I wear the same stuff all the time and so does hubby so it's easy to pack for us.......
