It's Friday AGAIN!!!!!!

Well, the week went pretty quick around these parts... how about you? Mia and I decorated a gingerbread house that I bought in IKEA (fave place) last year! I just ran out of time when I went to the hometown at Christmas time to decorate it so here we are nearly March and we finally did it today! It makes me laugh that I buy things like this as I am so crappy at decorating but through Mia's eyes it's fantastic! She loved sticking the lollies on, and eating them so it was well worth it!
The pool guy came yesterday afty and bought a template of our pool and pegged out where it is going to go, in this time in two weeks it should be a reality.... for me I will believe it when I see it actually in the ground.... We won't get much of a swim in it this season but that will give us all winter to get it exactly how we want the backyard.... fence firstup, paving, shade sails, plants in pots, and maybe some bamboo fencing attatched to the fence that is already there... and I really would like a few Buddha statues there too, I want it to be a tranquil place!I think maybe the fence will be the first thing for a while, that is pricey enough but a must!!!
Another LO! This one is for Blind Scrapping at Scrap Therapy! DH thought I was mad, I was madly writing down instructions last night at my comp so I could go to my scrap table and get started and he spun me out by saying that I should have my scrapping near my computer!! It would be great but I have already taken over the loungeroom with scrap gear, there is just no room for my computer too!!!! Nice thought though babe!! ANYWAY... the Lo is ok, night have to ink around the edge, it just doesn't look finished to me....
This is my paper bag album that I have been doing for months... Just painted the bags, punched holes, attatched it together and did a tiny bit of decorating. I just really wanted somewhere to put Mia's artwork from Childcare and Playgroup from last year. I made it so that I could slip her artwork in the bags... I had to grab a dogclip to hold it closed otherwise all that precious scribble an paint on paper would fall out everywhere!

Quiet weekend around here, DH is working all weekend, off to my friends house tonight for tea, she's cooking me and another friend Risotto, which will be YUMMO as she is a fab cook. (and there will be a couple of wines consumed too!) She's the type of person who if she wants to make Muffins, just chucks the ingredients in, doesn't use a recipe and they turn out perfectly. If I tried to do that they would be like rocks...... Takin the Gingerbread house around there for our kids to demolish... they will love it! DH is going to the local Community Club for drinks to farewell a couple of workmates who are moving to another company! I told him to try and rememeber that he has work tommorrow, when they all get together, it can get a bit lively!!

This one is for Embellished In Your Skin, week 3... It looks not much like I thought it would before I started, I was going to have swirls coming out of my ears with all the Artists written along the swirls.... unfortunately I am not so good at decent swirls! And for the record, these are just some of the artists on my i-pod, I have my 60g i-pod half full with tunes! I love it! Music is for sure a big part of my life.....

A LO for my Dad, it's his birthday tommorow, it won't make it to him on time, but I hope he likes it! He and Mia have a special bond, they just love each other to bits! I was close with my Dad when I was little, we still are although it's different now that I'm an adult! But they make my heart melt when they are together... Dad has so much patience and has been the best Dad anyone could ever want!!!


Self portraits yesterday, no makeup just me as I am, with a little help from picasa of course... I'm thinking of getting my hair chopped, I'm a bit over it, but it would be a major change, that could be a good thing!

Oh and I took some photos of my friends little bubba last week. What do you think? I am a little sad as yet another month has gone by and I'm not pregnant but there are babies or pregnancies all around me, IRL and amongst my on-line friends.... It is a bit hard. I guess I just took it for granted how easily I got pregnant with Mia and the other baby that I lost. Anyway this beautiful little girl was a dream to cuddle and made me feel special as I held her. And I love her Mum for just letting me hold her too, as a first time Mum she is just giving in letting other people hold her little angel. I remember when I had Mia I was not sure I wanted her passed around, it was silly in hindsight but probably normal!

Latest LO for 'In your Skin' at Embellished. Don't love it, was quite stumped! I want to use paint more on my LO's but it always seems to 'buckle', anyone got any hints for me???
Entries for my 2008 journal, waited for weeks to get my photos from Snapfish, I was a bit disapointed in how long they took. At least I have them now and can get more scrapping done. I really need to take more self portraits to scrap myslef a bit more!


Mia and her friend Sebasti, they chalked EVERYTHING in the bakcyard Fri afty, including themselves, but it all washed off in the bath and they had fun!

Here is my latest LO, it was for Chinese Whispers over at SM forum, i like it, although it is a full scraplift and not a good one, the original of Jodie's looks HEAPS better! But a fun little LO! This one was for Scrapping with the Stars over at Scrap Therapy... I missed a few weeks over Christmas time, it was too hectic a time for me! Note to scrap forums....If you have Comps, please don't run them over Christmas Time, it's just too hectic!Not that I thought I had a hope in hell of winning anything, I just would have like to do the whole ten challenges so that I could say I actually completed something!! Well, I'm doing the In Your Skin comp at Embellished so hopefully I will do ALL the challenges.....

These pics are of my friends who got married on the weekend, it was a great weekend, the first pic here is of the Happy Couple at the hay bales where he proposed, so it was only natural that they have some pics there! It as a great wedding, a lovely day! The Bride and her Bridesmaids, I loved the dresses! They were spectacular in real life!

Check these candles out! I was sitting out the back the other night having a quiet Vodka and I got all of them lit, and thought I'd better get my camera and take some photos... 20 shots later of the candles at all different angles... I think I like this one the best!

SPLASH.....

Mia and her little 'boy' friend. They had heaps of fun yesterday afternoon splashing around in the backyard! My friend and her little boy who is in the picture are leaving town at the end of the month which makes me sad but that is the nature of the town we live in, people come and people go, it will be the third good friend of mine to leave in a year and a half... But I love them and wish them well in all of their new adventures... xxxx to them

Nothing to show scrap wise, I am waiting for an order from Snapfish, but because of the 9c prints they haven't been delivered as quick as usual..We are having a quiet night in tonight, the footy is on for the hubby so I will sit and scrap. Bring on tonight, I can't wait for some 'me' activities...

Another LO last night, it is for the Feb challenge over at Scrap Therapy, had to do a LO with a Wedding photo. I didn't do it in my wedding album theme which is red,pink, white and black.. I just wanted a different 'look' for this LO. I love this Cosmo Cricket pp, and the little part of Desiderata, my SIL read out at our wedding. It isn't the whole verse, just a bit of it that the celebrant had in her stash of readings... I love the whole thing, so read it if you can!
Just wanted to show you my Frangipani, my friedns Mum gave me two off cuts at Christmas and they are going so well... took these on Sat night, can you see the little bits of water on the petals???

Well, last night I scrapped a storm, I did three including a double with 5 photos, I haven't done a double for that long, and I like it so look out there will be more!!!
DH and I, I like this photo ALOT! It's so rare to get a good one of us... same ol story, I'm always taking the pics, but have been snapping a few self portraits of myself lately which is fun... try it!
Mia and my friends' kids, they have so much fun in the water and I love this photo, it looks really dark but it isn't IRL!!
RAIN!!! On Saturday night we had a fair bit of rain, it doesn't happen very often, DH's cousin was staying with us and he couldn't believe I was taking photos of the rain. He doesn't knw the life of a scrapper/photo taker!!!
