Mia is in her clam, EVERYDAY! Some mornings even before she has breakfast, she loves it!
With her new Dora floor puzzle that a good friend gave her for Christmas, she is obsessed!

Excited kids waiting for the Street Parade to start, unfortunately alot of it freaked Mia out and she sat on my lap for most of it crying that she wanted to go home! But she survived and ended up having a good night!

At the playground, Mia had a ball she loves the playground!!!

Not much to report around here, had a disaster on Wednesday night although I didn't discover it until Thurs morn..... Have been working on MIL and Mum's calenders, they are fairly simple but still have taken up a bit of time.... On Wednesday I put some DM on some letters on one of the months for MIL, and because Mia was showing an unhealthy interest in the drying DM i quickly put the calender on top of my oven to dry so she couldn't touch it! Then we went out for the evening... A HUGE storm rolled in while we were out and our roof obviously has a leak in it as water came in through the fan in the ceiling straight above the oven and got my calender all wet! Letters disintegrated, ink ran, Bazzill ran and stuck to other pages,it was heartbreaking... and only 2 days before we go south, I have no time to do another one even remotely like it! I am so angry with myself to have put it where I put it, I had no idea that water would come in like that, I just wish I had of put it on my desk..... I will be able to do another one but it won't be the same!

Any way, this will more thatn likely be my last post before I go away so you may not hear from me until the New Year!

This is for ScrapTherapy scrapping with the Stars, I love the K&co peppermint twist papers, but man, my scrapping is so simple and a bit boring, but I'm just a lazy scrapper I guess, especially lately, I have lost it BIG TIME, but in the NEW YEAR I will be all energised again to Scrap up a storm!!! TFL!!! xxx

Please spare a thought in your day for the family of a man who was killed in the mine here on Wednesday, I do not know the family personally but a thing like this makes us all aware of the dangers of the place where our husbands and friends work, I know that my DH has had a close call before and he is ultra careful. I don't think that the man who died was at fault but others around him were, everyone is aware of the safety policies but sometimes people are careless..... I don't know enough to comment any more on how he died and it does not help to add to rumours and innuendo.....

The main thing is the family, they are in my thoughts constantly at this time..... life goes on but it will never be the same for this family....

Ok, finally sonme scrap stuff!!! Above is a concertina album that I made for my beautiful friend who I have known for nearly 20 years (EEEP, I'm getting on in years when I say that) It's not full of new pics, rather old ones, just fab memories of times gone past, it's for her Christmas present, I hope she loves it.... if she doesn't I'll have it back because I love it!!!! HAHAHA!!

Calender for my MUMMY, I love her soooo much, won't bore you with all the pics, the calender isn't too over the top as I am making my Mum one and MIL one, so I've been trying to make them quicka nd simple, but stamped all the months (that's why they look dodgy) and stuck rainbow coloured cardstock throughout the calenders and then stuck the photos on there with a few stickers, sayings etc.... they will love them!

Miss Moo asleep in the spare bed, she doesn't like here bed at the moment because the GRASSHOPPERS scare her!!!!! Whatever that means, I just let her go, as long as she goes to sleep SOMEWHERE!!!!
The Monkeys LO was for Scrapping with the Stars at Scrap Therapy, although I didn't enter it, I didn't like it although, now I wish I had put it up, ANWAY, I just didn't like it at the time so that is that. Maybe because I rushed it!!!!
CJ entry for Shorty's CJ! Lots of journalling, not much else, but there you go, at least I did it, I had it here for way tooo long, so I just wrote down what was going on in my mind at the time!!!

Went and took pics for the local Childcare Centre on Monday night, Santa came and gave out pressies, these pics are of my friends kids, so that's why I've put them here! AT THE ZOO!!!! Well, not much scrapping going on around here, lost it for a bit, but I know I'll get it back, feeling a bit overwhelmed by Christmas at the moment, but I know I will get there! Last weekend we were in Adelaide and we took Mia to the zoo with a couple of our friends who live there, it was fun,but also it was hot, and I was still recovering from being sick, so in the end I faded fast but it was a good day, and great to spend some time with Aunty Trace and Aunty Jodes!!!! Thanks guys!!! xxx

Oh and here's Santa, on his way to a private function in the Zoo, Mia is not totally sure about Santa, she hid from him as he went past, she talks about him all the time but in the flesh is another thing!!!

We went to a couple of Christmas shows on the weekend so will post some pics of that shortly along with the little bit of scrapping I have done!!!!

Sick, sick, sick, that's what has been happening around here, I got Mia's vomiting and diorreah last night, I was up all night doing both, luckily Mia slept through me getting up every 5 minutes, having a shower at 3am, and generally just being ill.... Mia has been sleeping in our bed as DH is away... Lucky for me I have a very special friend who took Mia to childcare, and picked her up again and stocked me with icypoles and lemonade....

Don't know when I will post again, supposed to be going away tommorow, I just have to see how I feel....

Random pics from my weekend, how cool do the kids look in the clam? They sorta begged me so I gave in!! And it was hot and we had no power for 5 hours yesterday which = no airconditioner!And pics of my veg patch, my beetroot and tomatoes! I love em!
Normally I would be in bed right now as it's 11pm here right now, but I've had a friend here, she enlisted my help to make her Wedding Invites, I think because I scrap she thought I'm a good candidate, but really I've just shown her different ways to do things, and yep, I've inked around the invites AND the envelopes, I just love the stuff!!!
AND another reason I don't really want to go to bed yet is DH is away so I caved in and let Mia sleep in our bed, AND I'm sitting in our room before on the computer and she starts having a YUGE vomit in our bed, I was amazed at how much came out, but I'm just happy that I was right with her when it happened as I quickly held her up, I have a bit of paranoia (sp) about her choking on her own vomit. Poor Little Thing. I quickly threw her through the shower and redressed her, change the sheets, then she zonked right out so quickly. Anyway what it all means is no work for me tommorow, can't risk passing anything on, and it's too bad for work, she ain't going to childcare!
I just heard the washing machine finish so off to hang out the bedding and into bed for me!

Latest LO of Mia, from yeo you guessed it, a challenge at Scrap Therapy! It's the November challenge! Check out Mia's addition to it! I just think, oh well!! What can you do! I'm not that fussy or bothered as to pull it apart or anything like that! I'm Waaaaaaaaaay too lazy!!

All is well in my world, I am a happy chickie this afternoon! I was out watering my veg patch before and I was thinking "I LOVE LIFE" well for the moment anyway! LOL!! It was just nice, I pulled a carrot out of the ground, washed it, ate it, loved it... Mia came along for a couple of cherry tomatoes, and earlier I had pulled a beetroot to roast in the oven to put in the burgers we are having for tea! It just all made me happy!

Mia and I have had a fab day! We put the Xmas tree up and decorated it and she was soooo good, she was loving it, and really understands more this year!! ALthough she thinks Christmas is tommorow!

I'm really happy that I'm over at the forums I'm at! I'm just new to Scrap Therapy but the girls there are so nice and welcoming and I am really liking being challenged over there! And at SM, things have been a bit heated of late, but I still love it, the earth would have to be crakcing up around me and I would still be on my PC on the forum!! LOVE YOU CHICKS!!!

BAD BLOGGER!!! I have been sooooo slack, I haven't scrapped since my rainbow LO, I have been hectic, hopefully things will slow down this week for a bit!!! My little holiday was great in Mellbourne, met heaps of new people at the wedding that we went to, it was a whirlwind of a time!

What a peaceful weekend!! Check out the paint stash above, I got it for $30 at a garage sale this morning, it took me about 2 seconds to decide to buy it, I had to come home to get a bit more $$ but it is sooooooo worth it!!! There is so many colours of Jo-Sonjas and heaps of other paints and other Jo-Sonja mediums, I'm going to have to try and find out what they are all for!! Talk about excited!!!
Tea last night!!! YUMMO!!! Hubby is away and would NEVER eat anything like this! I grabbed my bamboo steamer and crammed it full of yummy vegies and chicken, added ginger, garlic, fresh coriander and fresh basil and a splash of soy sauce and sesame oil!!!! TOO GOOD!! And I'm having it again tonight!!! YUM!!!

These 3 LO's are for the Scrap Therapy CC this weekend, I haven't done the card challenge, I'm just not that into cards I'm afraid.... I love everyone else's but can't be bothered doing them myslef, not my scene!!!! I did the three of them last night while I watched 'The Persuit of Happyness' I loved the movie and yep, I bawled at the end when he finally got the job!!! I was so relieved for him, silly hey!!!


And these two pics are from a garage sale yesterday!!! I think that they are my new favourite thing to do on the weekend!! I got the cookbooks and Mia's saxophone for $10, she loves the sax, her Poppy plays one and she loves that she is just like him!! And those books are in fab nick, and I've seen them in the newsagent for heaps of $$$. I just love a bargain!!!!
