SLEEPY HEAD

Last week Mia fell asleep on the floor watching telly! This is so unlike her it's not funny, I rekon she has only done this 3 times, any other time she has fallen asleep and not been in bed is when she's been in other people's arms! So it was amazing really. We had been away and I think she was still tired from all the travelling and running around we did while we were away! Sooooooooo, to cut to the chase I did a page about this last night, and I think I really like this one! No matter how hard I try, I'm not a 'busy page' scrapper, it's really not my style, although I feel that I'm evolving and finishing up with pages that look more 'finished' IYKWIM?

Love my bed, while all you other night owls are up scrapping at 1am I am snoozing peacefully !!!..ALL my scrapbbok gear, relegated to a little space near my dining table! AND I love my meatsafe and my kitchen, I LOVE cooking up a storm!!! So there you go, more random stuff from my world!!! xxx

Randomness

Here is a few random things that I love around my house! Not much scrappin done since Tues night, infact NONE, but maybe tonight or tommorow night!


I am LOVING my herbs at the moment, I've grown them from seeds and I have been pretty excited to watch them grow!

I just LOVE coriander, basil and parsely, and it's gonna be good to be able to just go and pick some when I need some for my cooking!!






I love my pics on the wall of my holiday photos of Nth QLD, it was a very special time, lots of fun, 3 weeks with absolutely no responsibilities.... It was a long time ago now but I remember the time like it was yesterday!!!

My books, I love them soooooo much, I have 2 bookshelves crammed to the brim with books & magazines!!! Can't live without them, have re-read most of them!!!!

Well, DH and a friend of ours are chopping down a tree in the backyard today so will post pics of them later!!!! xxxx

yay some new pages!!!

Well, had a big scrapping night last night at my dining table! I was so happy! It's funny how scrappin makes me happy! I think that alot of people feel that way though! I did start the LITTLE MOO page tues night but finished it last night along with 4 of my wedding pages! Yep they are as simple as and that is the way I want em to be coz I have heaps to get through, and I want to add to my BOM, participate in swaps and do CC's here and there too! The life of a scrapper is a busy one hey!
I'm feeling on a roll so might be going hard at the scrap table again tonight once tea is done, dishes are washed, Mia is in bed and hubby's lunch is made for Thursday!!!

Morrocan Lamb

Well here's tonites tea! MORROCAN LAMB! Got the recipe from a friend of mine! Thanks Trace! My house is smelling pretty good right now!! Here's the recipe if you wanna try it!

1kd diced lamb (chunky) (except i used forequarter chops)

1 red onion diced

6 tbs olive oil

2 bunches fresh coriander

1 tsp ginger

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp all spice

1 tsp chilli

1 tsp saffron threads

6 cloves garlic

2 tins crushed tomatoes

peel of 1 orange

1 tbs butter

1 tbs honey

1 tin chickpeas

marinate meat overnite with oil, onion, spices, chilli and garlic

next day put in slow cooker along with tinned tomatoes, orange peel, butter and honey

cook for 4-5 hours, add chickpeas for the last hour of cooking

serve with rice

u can add more of the spices to your liking.

All I can say is I am loving the smell wafting aorund at the moment! And so do the flies, coz they are all hanging around the back door!

Well, just want to scrap tonight so badly! And I have to fight hubby for the telly because I really want to watch Australian Story and Enough Rope! They are gonna b good tonight! I keep telling hubby I can scrap and watch telly at the same time, he just doesn't believe me!!!

Am a bit hungover today so not too many words, just some pics! Had a birthday party last night for one of my friends, as she lives in the single person's quarters and only has a tiny room so it was only natural that she had her party here.... Instead of a bbq, we had finger food and it was VERY VERY YUMMY! We made sushi (not traditional, but with cooked chook in it), mini frittatas, mini tarts with bocconcini, tomato and herbs, quesadillas,( THE YUMMIEST) and vietnamese rice paper rolls! It was a good night, but the next day always kills me! I suppose there is a chance that maybe one day I will stop thinking I'm a teenager!!!

I've got pics here of my girlfriends that were here, some preparation of food, we lit tea-light candles and spelled out my friends name, and some other friends made sparkler bombs, which made for a great photo!!!

Roast Lamb here for tea tonight, have a rack so I'm gonna go put it in the oven!!!

Me again

Well, back again before the day is through, I wonder how long this little infatuation with my blog will last! After all I am a gemini, start many a project, hardly to finish any!!! Anyway, I just thought I might put my BOM so far! I thought I might be able to put it under a side banner, but can't figure that out at all.... maybe I can't!!! If anyone knows, can ya let me know! Thanks!!!

Well, thought I had done more in my BOM, but obviously had better pull the finger out! Anyway it's my dream to leave something behind of the REAL ME, so others know what I was all about, so there will be more to come......
