Sunday morning we took the girls to the playground near us. I popped Lexi into the swing for the first time and she loved it. The fun stopped though when she kept leaning forward and almost falling out!! Look at all those teeth. She has a little nibble on her sisters toes at times, but has only bitten me once so far.

We are off to Thailand in not so many days now (21st of May) and have a new little point and shoot to go with us, so I was snapping away while at the park. A not so flash pic of us!  It's all memories, right? No matter how crap you look in said photo!!

After a slippery dip with big sister Mia. They both loved it.. Because Lexi still isn't walking I am a little bit hesitant at times to hand her over to do new things... But I have been just letting her do things, and she loves it. But it is a bit hard to come to terms with her growing up. She is still so snuggly, and such a time waster, I could spend half my day playing with her and watching her!! WAIT, I do spend half my day playing with her and watching her explore!! LOL!!
They are both just gorgeous girls...

I scrapped this photo last night. I really quite like it. I went to a garage sale in Lincoln while I was there and picked up the music book paper in the background, which I love for the red in it. I just like how this ended up! Alot of my LO's to come will more than likely have a lot of Sassafrass on them.Tatum organised us some from the US, think it was a clearance type package... Such good value, and I love it all!!! So Sass it is for a while!!  And of course, my obligatory thickers and ink edging! I just HAVE to ink! It's just what I do, OK? LOL!!

Had such a busy day today... Feeling pretty knackered...
BUT before I go.

Lucy I have to apologise for being such a slacker with your CJ!!! I make no promises, but soon, ok? I have not one excuse.. I want to make it special for you, but to be honest, circle journals don't hold the charm for me they once did... I imagined getting back gorgeous CJ's full of wonderful work... Truth be told, I've only got one out of four home... So sad.. BUT I promise you will get yours and it'll be fab! (with lots of Sass, and no pink)

Mia and I in our bed two Winters ago. I was pregnant with Lexi. We had a scheduled power outage so I stayed where it was warm, Brenton made me a cup of coffee from boiling water on the gas stove.. It was quite cute how Mia hopped into bed with me and read her book too. She looks quite little in this photo. Well, she was. 3 going on 4, but I thought she was bigger than she was.. Do you expect more from your first born?
My wonderful friend Kylie and Lexi. From the minute we were pregnant with Lexi, she was my biggest support, (along with a few other special people too). And once we found out about Lexi's heart condition while I was pregnant, she looked after me. Always ringing, cooking us tea. Just caring.... And she just loves Lexi so much. Very Special. I don't mind this LO, but I just can't seem to get back into scrapping. I have been feeling so tired at night...
Better go, bubba has had enough of the high chair and is covered from head to toe in vegemite, and a few maltesers thrown in too!!

Family Photos..

Mia is a creative little thing. She loves painting, colouring in, beads, what we call crafty stuff ( paddle pop sticks, sequins, coloured matchsticks, etc) toilet rolls and paper towell rolls.. Today she made a jungle out of the toilet and paper towell rolls. She made flowers and animals, then stuck them to the rolls, and voila, they stand up!  Love you my little girl!

This little bubba is a mischief maker, she can get into any cupboard, and lately is injuring herself more and more with her sense of adventure. Bruises, banging herself.. daily. A cuddle and a kiss and generally she is off on her little way again.

Random photo of my kitchen that I took for the 365 project. I love this space, Brenton gets into trouble if he tries to come in and 'help'.
On my way with the girls to Pt Lincoln, not too far down the road from home, the scenery was just awesome after the fabulous storm we had the night before.. I was in awe as I was driving down the road.

This is the hallway in our house in Pt Lincoln. 10m long x 3m wide... I love the idea of having a library and scrap area in here. I have some plans for this area that's for sure. When we ever get there.....
My Dad has just painted the WHOLE interior of the house.. It looks so beautiful, I love my Dad so much. He wore himself out big time, but would not stop and have a rest until it was all done. The jarrah floors will be resanded and polished again... the house will be a dream come true... LOL, when we ever get there!!

Having such a lovely time with these two precious little people lately. Have had my struggles with Mia, she has done my head right in, in the recent past.. Pushing the boundaries in a big way. But at the moment and for a while now, I have been having what I could call a beautiful time with both the girls. Mia is a huge help, and full of love for her family, and is very big on having family cuddles, family time, anything family orientated. She had Lexi on her lap as I was about to vacuum, and she was playing with Lexi. Mia loves to hug and kiss Lexi goodnight in the evening and goodmorning in the morning, and any time in between. Not sure what it is, but it seems easier or peaceful at the moment...

Lexi rolling around on the sheets that we about to go on our bed... Anytime there is bedding, quilts etc.. on the floor she is straight over for a roll, play and general good time... Weird but she loves it!

Lexi and I were playing 'poke your tongue out at each other' but every time I tried to take a photo of her with her tongue out, I missed it. This is as close as I got... Cute though!

Off to bed shortly, so will be back with some LO's that I have done... 2 I need some advice on, they are not finished, one meeds something to finish it off and one I have only done a tiny little bit on it, but need major help...
I could go on and on, have lots to say, not much of it too interesting to you probably, but lucky for some I'm tired and feeling cold and off to bed I go!

I'm in the hometown, I drove with the two girls on my own and it was THE BEST that Lexi had EVER travelled in the car. ever. Which was great. We had had a huge storm and rains the night before we left. I don't think I had ever seen the scenery in the desert look quite so gorgeous. Red sands, greenery from previous rains, bits of blue sky, white, purple, grey, lilac clouds. I was enraptured. I took a few photos as I was driving along, I was in awe. I'll show them another time as I'm on my Dad's computer, and I'm way too lazy to muck around with photos.
This week will be busy with more renovation organising, and I am excited to be going scrapping at Scrapworx with Leonie and Tiff, she had better be there anyway. I have to give her something that I forgot to post. (SORRY TIFF)

Ok, just a check in really. I'm off like the Easter Bunny for a quick blog hop before the kids start calling for me!

E2C 2010
The Sunday morning LO's

This is what it is, a LO about Mia and her Dad. She is a Mummy's girl to some extent but if Brenton is home during the day then he has a shadow following him all over the place.. sweetness.

This is a simple one I got the idea from a magazine whilst at the retreat. I made it smaller than usual and scrapped it about Brenton's Mum and her love of all the Grandkids.
Still think about the retreat heaps... Felt quite sad that it was over.. Bring on 2011!!

I have 3 LO's sitting here on the table with me, one I will NEVER EVER show you, no no no!! Even Brenton thinks it's crap!! LOL!! And I'm still playing with the two others.. I tidied up my scrap area just before, hoping it would spark something.. I just feel tired. Might have something to do with a BBQ I went to last night, on my own mind you... I got home just after midnight.. Just not a late night person much at all anymore..

The baked Bacon and Eggs that I made Brenton and I for breakfast Easter Sunday. It included baked beans, crispy bacon, and egg each, cherry tomatoes and a little bit of tasty and parmesan sprinkled on top! Totally yum but very very bad for us... Love the butter on the toast too, we went all out!! YUM!

Mia had THE best day Easter Sunday, from the egg hunt, to the book that the Easter Bunny left her with all sorts of activities in it. Pop out bunnies, eggs, etc etc. I got it in Woolies ages ago, and she had the best time with it. She made puppets and put on a puppet show (or two)
A quiet Easter, Brenton had just the Sunday off which was lovely. But the rest of it was like any other day. Sounds sad I guess but we had fun baking, playing and enjoying ourselves at home.

Hope it was good for you...

I hope whoever reads this has a lovely Easter with Family.
We are lucky enough to have Brenton at home today.
A very excited little girl found LOTS of eggs and a few choc bunnies too.
I cooked the most deluxe beans, bacon, eggs and tomatoes, EVER.
Enjoy your family today as always.
And if Brenton gets to watch the Crows this afty, I get to scrap. Hows that for a deal?

Escape2Create 2010
Saturday LO's

This LO is basically a lift of Jodie Butler's LO in her tutorial 'Collage Background' in SBM Vol 12 No 3.
And I love it.
Many thanks to Tatum for the sparkly white flower and the orange crochety stuff!!
Also for the idea to incorporate some MME die cuts in there too... Thanks Chick!

A LO about my fridge contents... Need we say more? Although someone at some stage walked past and said, 'you should sub that' which put me on a happy note. Not that I sub. Ever. (too lazy, don't think i'm a worthy scrapper, etc etc!! lol! )
But it was nice for someone to say!

 An angel on your shoulder...
About Lexi's open heart surgery when she was 5 days old. Have many photos of these to still scrap. Am doing them when the mood takes me.. I did get quite teary thinking about it all again while at the retreat... You get on with it but don't forget. IYKWIM? Maybe you do know what I mean. I actually hope that you don't...

My beautiful big girl, love this one, simple but I love the colours. I love all the new Dear Lizzy range. YUM!

More soon!
