Mmmm, Easter Bunny visited and left a trail of eggs from the front door to Mia's bed, here they are trailing down the hallway to her bedroom......

My precious ones having a cuddle on Thursday, they had a few parcels arrive and got lots of eggs and little soft toys! Spoilt are my two but I love it!! And they are cute too!

When I was pregnant I asked the girls on the SM forum if they had spare HUGGIES barcodes, as I really really really wanted this little playtent for my baby! I have had it for so long now and was finally pleased to be able to use it yesterday! She loved it! Kept the flies off and I know she likes to lay and have a kick so it was perfect! We had a Weber feast with some friends yesterday at our place and it was a fantastic afternoon, lots of food, I made a spinach cob too! Delish! The kids had a swim, and played dress ups and had a lovely afternoon just being kids!

Little Miss Loo Loo with her little yellow duck that one of my good friends here in Roxby gave Lexi for Easter, she always spoils us at Christmas, Birthdays and Easter time!

Miss Mia with a gift that her Aunty sent her from Port Lincoln! It was a metal Dora handbag with the beautiful pink eggs inside! I love her face in this photo, pure delight!!

I hope your Easter has been special, ours has been a mostly quiet affair, but it was lovely to have DH at home, he starts back on night shift tonight for 4 nights then no more night shifts in the future! I really don't like night shift, I don't worry about being on my own at night, infact I don't mind it at all, but the days when the baby is crying and Mia is pretending to be a baby elephant, when she walks around so loudly.... it does my head in! I have cried a couple of times out of sheer frustration at the situation. But I can surely handle 4 more of them and then it's done!! Yeeha!

Another post coming shortly with some scrapping! Feeling fresh and inspired about it, while I have really still been loving looking at blogs, mags, forums, etc... I just could not be bothered but hoping this is a good start!!

My little bubba in her cot having a sleep in it for the first time... Once she actually sleeps in there full-time, all her special little toys will exit. She is still in the basinette by my bed every night... I really like her sleeping right there next to me. I don't know how I'll cope when she get too big and HAS to go in her cot... I won't like it! She is still pretty small so I'll keep her in the basinette as long as I possibly can!!! For the last couple of nights she has been waking 2 times during the night for a feed instead of one, so maybe she is having a growth spurt!! Not too quickly little Lexi!! She is a very smily baby, and in the last few days has found her hands, and clasps them together and stares at them. She's on the verge of having a laugh and is making lots of baby gurgling sounds... Sweet!!!

I love this photo of Lexi, this little dress it just the cutest, Tatum bought it for her when she was born, just so gorgeous! She has grown out of a couple of outfits, it is heartwarming to know that she is slowly getting bigger...

My two precious ones in the bath together for the first time. Mia was so excited, the little seat that Lexi is in was my SIL's and it has suction cups on the bottom but they don't really work too well anymore so I might just buy a new one...Both Brenton and I were right there, but the chair didn't stick to the bath and then I put too much water in the bath and Lexi's bottom half started floating away... She was only in there for the photos and a quick wash! It was a bit hectic! But good for a photo opportunity!!

All is well in my world, feeling great, except for the tail end of a cold which had me coughing uncontrollably at night, it drives me crazy! Last night I came out into the lounge and wrapped mysef in a rug and slept upright in the chair for who knows how long! Just so I wouldn't cough! It was really bad the night before, I got up and moved to the spare bed, wheeling Lexi in the basinette with me which woke her up, so she back on for a feed to send her back off to sleep, and then she wokeup another 2 times for a feed, and in between me coughing so much, not much sleep was had Sun night! I was soooooo tired yesterday...

I can hear my bubba waking up so I'll be off now!

Mia with her very special Cabbage Patch Doll which arrived in the mail from our special cyber granny, Lucy! Mia was so excited to recieve it, thankyou so much Lucy, we are blessed to know you!

Lexi on her absolutely gorgeous quilt that Lucy made, this photo does not do it justice at all... It is so beautiful, it bought tears to my eyes... The fabrics are so beautiful together and I love love love the little girl on there. I will be using this LOVE & HOPE quilt alot during the Winter... It really is exquisite!

Here is special bubba on the quilt that our special friend Jodie made for Lexi... It too is absolutely gorgeous, it took quite a while to get here after our Australia Post debacle but eventually it did arrive, along with gorgeous presents for Mia and myself... So special that we have special on-line friends who should care so much for us!!


Just lately I am having a lot of "HOW BLESSED AM I?" moments... I have been thinking alot about our gorgeous baby and stare at her in wonder at times... She is a happy baby, easy (mostly) to settle and an absolute joy!!!! I constantly look at her and am amazed!
Mia is being a beautiful little girl, I think she has settled back into our home life better now, she is playing beautifully on her own without wanting to be constantly amused... I think she is feeling more secure than she has been. She can be a little bit too rough with Lexi, but I think it's more of a jealousy thing, it is mostly when her Dad is around, I guess because he works long hours, when he has Lexi, she tries to compete for his attention... But last night I was laying on her bed with her having a chat, and I asked her if she was happy to have a little sister and she said, oh yes Mum, she is so cute when she sleeps, and I love her! It made me feel good. Lexi loves her, smiles when Mia talks to her and everytine that Lexi cries when Mia is around, Mia sings Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. Too cute.

All is well in my world, am feeling contentment, and a sense of peace in my life.

My gorgeous nephew, ETHAN CAMERON! He is younger than Lexi by 13 days, I just so love his face in this photo!
We have just been to our home town of Port Lincoln for a visit, it was so nice to show Lexi off and to see our little bubba nephew, he is soooo cute! And Mia just absolutely loved catching up with her bigger cousins.....

I have decided that I won't be doing a heart blog for Lexi... I have a journal that I wrote while I was in Melbourne with her and lots and lots and lots of photos aswell, so it's not as if she won't have the information when she wants to know about her start in life. There are a couple of reasons that I won't be doing the blog.... Blogger is a pain in the bum to upload a lot of photos to and also the other day I started doing it and I was pressing the backspace button to delete some text and it was deleting pics and then when I uploaded them again I couldn't get them to where I wanted them to be in the post.... I spent ALL DAY (in between family stuff) trying to get it started and realised that I just do not have the time at the moment. I know that I will be posting about Lexi anyway on this blog so anyway, that's the decision for now!

Am watching Farmer Wants a Wife at the moment, just love that show! I know that most of it is more than likely a set up but still I love it! And am going to be working some more on a new CJ I'm involved in, which I am excited about, it will motivate me to scrap, and has a pretty tight schedule so that is also good for me!

Circle Journal entry, I have had this CJ for way too long, I didn't have motivation before I had Lexi and then it took me so long to complete my entry after she was born... Sincere apologies to anyone reading this that may have been involved in that swap, I hate to let anyone down, but my life just got in the way!

Mi having cuddles with Lexi last week, can't even remember why she has a face like this, but it's adorable... heehee!!

Lexi's latest is to suck her fingers... she gets them half way down her throat and dry retches.... she's doing it right now on the floor!!

And these two photos, I just love them! Fresh from the bath... sweet and clean! She is just so beautiful!!

I've decided to start to document Lexi's journey on my heart family blog, but I am going to make it private,(just as soon as I work out how to make it private lol) let me know if you want to read it... I have no problem if I 'know' you, it's just that I don't want it out there for the whole world to see if they so choose....

She really seems to love this little creature, and bats at it with her hand, I don't think it's a deliberate movement, but she loves this little guy!

Miss Mia asleep in her bed o n Friday night, she is trying her hardest to sleep in our bed, but I am standing firm. I need my sleep in my own bed, and that's that!! I'll give her 100 points for trying though! She says she is afraid of the dark so her flower lights stay on all night everynight as does a little dolphin light on her bedside table, but the globe is blown at the moment, better fix that! She sleeps all night so I'm happy about that. When we first got back from Adelaide she was waking up in the night as well as Lexi but glad to say that didn't last very long.

Mia outside 'cooking' it is something she has always loved to do, and I don't care about the mess, I just take her clothes off and hose her down outside, which she thinks is hilarious! She loves to wear dresses and all the pretty things but still loves to get into a mess.... It's good for her,I rekon!

Miss Lexi Lou on Thursday night, just after her bath in the kitchen sink, she must be growing coz she isn't fitting in there so well anymore! I combed her hair right down, it is usually sticking up everywhere, I love this photo the best but have a few VERY cute ones of her from Thurs night.
I have FINALLY worked out how to take photos indoors at night with only the natural light and NO flash, I'm loving that I can take more natural looking pics with no flash, the photo of Lexi and the one of Mia asleep are taken inside about 9 at night with only the lights that are on and no flash. I'm impressed with myself, I really hate my photos when the flash is so bright!

Oh yes, and I had a scrap,although it is quite plain,but I told my little story about this photo which is what I wanted to do. I am ultra inspired by my online friend Belinda V, her layouts are always gorgeous but not too overdone looking aswell, although I bet there is lots of thought put into them. I got inspiration for this one from her blog... Thanks Belinda, will be looking to you and of course Tatum for some scrapping inspiration and all my other online friends too! I have the will but not the time! I'll get there I'm sure!

Hi, no scrapping yet to share... waiting for some papers from Scrap Therapy which have arrived but NOT at my house, they were redirected BACK to Adelaide AGAIN along with two other parcels... And just left there to sit outside the place we were staying... Lucky Mum has a great neighbour who found them and is sending them BACK to me here! Let's hope they make it here!! Extremely frustrated with Australia Post ATM, is it THAT hard for them to do their job???
Anyway, the above photo was taken by my friend Amber when she came to visit us when Lexi was still in the WCH in Adelaide... Didn't realise she looked that skinny and sort of ill looking! I just loved her anyway and didn't see it at all. But she has filled out really nicely now!

My two precious girls and I... I look worse than I feel!!! I think I look terrible!! LOL!! Oh well! I'm just being a Mum!! I had my hair done on Thursday to get rid of the roots and got talked into something different and am TOTALLY regretting it. I usually have foils to just cover the roots, hardly anyone ever notices that I have had it done, it blends into the fake blonde that is already there!! And I'm happy with that! But no, I had some totally different way of putting the blonde on the roots and it looks like it used to when I did my own hair our of the boxes that you buy at Woolies when I was 15!!!!! I'm very dissapointed and almost embarrased that it looks like it does at the moment.... Needless to say that I'm going to a different hairdresser now after 3 bad hair-do's.. Three strikes is enough for me! Anyway, it's only hair I do realise that, but I wanted to feel good not shit about myself!! I AM laughing as I'm typing this.... I know that these things happen...

Little Miss Lexi in her cot for the first time, it was just a visit mind you, she sleeps in a bassinet about 30cm from my head!!! lol! I'm certainly not ready for her to be moving away from me any time soon! She was mesmerised by the mobile, she loves looking at the little animals! I'm so in love with her right now, always have been but it's intense right now!!!!
Mia is a sweetie, swimming about 3 times a day and is exhausted at night!!
Have had my parents here since last Wed and another friend staying with us for a week before that!!! It's been great to have extra hands around,I've even been swimming a bit myself!!!
